At The Pahadan’s Farm, our vision is simple — "Pahadon ka pyaar, har ghar tak." We bring you ghee just like our Daadi-Naani made it — bilkul shuddh, haathon se bana, aur dil se diya. Hand-churned, slow-cooked on wood fire, and crafted by the loving hands of Himalayan women, each drop carries generations of tradition, strength, and warmth. Starting from Himachal, we dream of celebrating the spirit of Pahadan women across Uttarakhand, Kashmir, Ladakh, Assam, Sikkim, and every mountain where love still simmers in clay pots and copper pans.
Meet the Pahadans
Kamla from Kangra
Kamla once sold her homemade ghee to a local vendor for ₹200 per kg. Today, with a little digital training and a lot of courage, she manages her own small brand and has trained 15 other women in the village. Her story is a reminder that knowledge, when shared, grows. “Gaon ki mahilayein ab sirf khaana nahi, apni kahani bhi paka rahi hain.”
Sushma from Chamba
Every morning at 4 AM, Sushma milks her two cows before walking 2 kilometers uphill to tend to her terrace fields. After losing her husband young, she became the sole breadwinner for her two daughters. Today, not only does she produce some of the finest ghee in the valley, but she also teaches other widowed women to become self-reliant through dairy farming.
